Surgi-Vision has received US FDA clearance for its second internal esophageal MRI coil. The Stylet can be used to image health conditions related to the esophagus and aorta from inside the body. The device which is inserted into the esophagus places an MRI coil in close proximity to soft tissue said the Columbia, Maryland-based company. It added that the coil improved the image clarity by increasing the signal intensity of MRI machines.
