FDA warns Medtronic on internet and annual report claims

The US FDA has accused Medtronic of using unsubstantiated claims on its web site for its Activa tremor control system. The letter refers to "a number of significant inappropriate representations", including a direct contradiction to the product's approved intended use. Medtronic says the issue is about communication channels on the internet.
