UK company Medisys plans to raise £45 million ($72 million) in a share offering of around 37.6 million shares at 120p per share. The Ipswich-based company will use £17 million for the development and marketing of its Futura safety syringe. It plans to file for US FDA approval shortly. A further £10 million has been set aside for the development and purchase of products to complement Futura. Medisys said it will put around £9 million of the fresh funds into commercialisation of its Dart blood glucose monitoring product.
