German, US medical supplies aid for Uzbekistan:

The German government has sent a humanitarian cargo of DM5.5 million ($2.3 million) worth of medical and hospital equipment and medicines to Uzbekistan. The aid is intended for casualty departments in the country's remote areas. US international disaster relief agency Americare has dispatched $1 million worth of insulin and syringes, intended for sufferers of diabetes. Becton Dickinson and Eli Lilly have also jointly sent aid, comprising 51,000 vials of insulin and syringes.
