UK company Biocompatibles has signed a four-year supply deal with Cambrex for proprietary biomaterials to outsource manufacture of its BiodivYsio coronary stent and Proclear contact lenses. East Rutherford, New Jersey-based Cambrex believes the arrangement will result in sales of around $2 million annually. Cambrex will also buy Biocompatibles' pilot chemical plant and transfer it to its UK site in Seal Sands over the next year.
