As a result of the German laboratory fee reform, sales of the diagnostics industry have fallen dramatically, says Dirk Meyer-Luerbetaen, director of the national diagnostics industry association (VDGH). Speaking last week at the seventh diagnostic forum, in Bonn, he said that the only sector of his industry that had not been affected adversely by the reform was self tests.
