Dutch company Jomed is to get non-exclusive rights to Johnson & Johnson company Cordis' patents covering the manufacture of balloon catheters for coronary and peripheral use. Jomed can now supply the global market with PTCA, PTA and stent delivery catheters based on a single platform technology, the company said. "This will substantially shorten time to market and increase economies of scale in our manufacturing process," said Tor Peters, Jomed's CEO. The agreement includes undisclosed royalty payments.
