Belgium wants HPV (Human Papilloma Virus) testing

The Belgian parliament's chamber of representatives has approved a resolution demanding that human papilloma virus testing be introduced to diagnose cervical cancer within the context of the country's cervical screening programme. Estimates indicate that the introduction of HPV testing, combined with the Pap smear, would cut cervical cancer deaths by a third.
