The UAE ministry of health has granted a licence for the construction of five private hospitals and six additional private health institutions, including four general medical centres, an optical centre and dental clinic. The hospitals are to be established in Abu Dhabi and Al Ain and will have a capacity of some 250 beds each. The ministry's private health licensing committee also approved the appointment of 22 new doctors and specialists to different private health institutions in the country.
