Executive Summary
Boston Scientific is to distribute CathData's QMS2 catheter mapping system in the US under an exclusive agreement. Toronto, Ontario-based CathData's product is a real-time, stand-alone 3D catheter mapping system. Accurate mapping of the heart's electrical signals is used to enable the physician to guide an ablation catheter to a target site to destroy malfunctioning tissue or pathways that cause the heart to beat too rapidly. Boston will market the system through its EP Technologies division.
