Cygnus has completed the sale of its drug delivery business to Johnson & Johnson subsidiary Ortho-McNeil Pharmaceutical. The Redwood City, California-based company could receive up to $75 million in cash from Ortho-McNeil, which it says will allow it "to focus management attention and corporate resources on our glucose monitoring business".
