Executive Summary
Over half the MRI contracts involved in Australia's largest medical reimbursement fraud investigation will be subjected to either legal action from the country's Director of Public Prosecution or civil action from the Health Insurance Committee (HIC). The remaining contracts concerning 25 MRI scanners have been deemed compliant as investigations into the eligibility of their contracts have been inconclusive. Despite this, as few as seven are unquestionably compliant, according to the HIC.
