A new Scottish primary care modernisation group is among the projects to benefit from an extra £30 million ($45 million) investment in the country's 1,000 general practices and health centres. The group is to produce by the end of this year proposals for future investment in medical infrastructure and equipment. The latest funding is in addition to the approximate £100 million pledged so far to improve infrastructure and increase staffing levels of primary healthcare services.
