Mexico and Chile have begun discussions aimed at developing closer healthcare ties. With a statement of intent to this effect, signed on August 16, the respective health ministers - Julio Frenk Mora and Michelle Bachelet - have pledged to work together on bilateral trade issues affecting the healthcare industry, the reform of the health service and the countries' most urgent healthcare needs.
