The US FDA has approved for sale Biotronik's Belos VR implantable cardioverter defibrillator (ICD). The 36cc device, a rate-adaptive, single-chamber ICD, measures just 12mm and offers 30 joules of delivered energy and multiple pacing therapies to treat patients with life-threatening ventricular tachyarrhythmias, says the Lake Oswego, Oregon firm.
