BICO subsidiary ViaCirq has embarked on the route to setting up a joint venture in China for the manufacture, marketing and sale of its intraperitoneal hyperthermia delivery system and related disposable procedure kits. The US group, from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, last month signed a memorandum of understanding with the privately owned Chinese hospital operating group Phoenix Hospital Management (Arizona,US) to establish a 50:50 company, called Newco, by the end of August 2001.
