Both the German medical device industry (BVMed) and the hospitals associations (DKG) have reacted favourably to the health ministry's second draft of the diagnosis related groups (DRG) law. By introducing the law, the government is seeking to reform the way in which hospitals are managed, in order to realise potential savings within the system.
