Italy's medical device, biomedics and diagnostics industry association, Assobiomedica, has posted a comprehensive database of its members and their products on the internet, at www.assobiomedica.it . The initiative is designed to help promote the best use of medical devices, particularly by those acquiring the technology. Assobiomedica has over 150 members, accounting for a turnover in excess of L5,000 billion ($2.25 billion).
