The four-sector mutual recognition agreement (MRA) signed by the EU and Japan in spring 2001 (see Clinica No 954, p 15) is expected to come into effect in the autumn, at the latest. That announcement was part of the text of a joint statement issued by the two parties following the recently held third EU-Japan Business Dialogue Round Table (EJBDRT) working party meeting.
