Executive Summary
The Korean Health Ministry (MOHW) reports that cancer patients registering with the Central Cancer Registration Office increased by 7.1% in 1999, to 82,300 cases. Males accounted for almost 47,000 cases, says a report in Pharma Koreana. Stomach cancer incidence was highest, at some 11,000 cases, followed by liver and lung cancer.
