Four new members were appointed to the board of MEDEC, the Canadian medical devices industry association (Toronto), at it recent AGM: Nancy Abbey (Baxter); Linda Tharby (Becton Dickinson Canada); Ian Lawson (Johnson & Johnson Medical Products; and Arthur Roberts (St Jude Medical). Dave Enns, of Canadian Hospital Specialities, rejoined for a three-year term. John Parks resigned after 10 years as a board member. MEDEC chairman is Steve Arless (CryoCath Technologies), who assumed role earlier this year on the elevation of Peter Goodhand to president.
