Executive Summary
EUCOMED, the European medical devices industry association, has expressed frustration that only one marketing agreement - with Hungary - has been set up between the EU and the countries of central and eastern Europe (CEE - see Clinica No 962, p 2). The agreements, known as PECAs, are intended to create free trade between the EU and signatory countries before they become members of the EU.
