Global Healthcare Exchange (GHX) founder member Tyco Healthcare, which last week recorded its first automated e-commerce transactions through the digital ordering channel, sees a big shift ahead in the way it does business. "We look forward to migrating the majority of our transactions to this environment," Tyco Healthcare president Rich Meelia enthused after the company had completed its first real-time extensible markup language (XML) transmissions through the GHX portal. This sales channel offers visibility and eventually will save customer and the company money, he said.
