Andrew Lux has been named as president and chief operating officer of Biomec (Cleveland, Ohio), which specialises in biomedical engineered products and systems. Dr Lux joins the company from Medtronic, where he was vice-president of operations and R&D at the cardiac surgery division. Biomec was established in 1998 to develop projects from private labs, academic and medical institutions into commercial products.
