Ireland approves I£160m hospital redevelopment:

The Irish ministry of health and children has approved a project to modernise St Vincent's University Hospital, Dublin. Accident and emergency, intensive care, surgery and radiology are among the departments to benefit from the estimated I£160 million ($172 million) project, involving a "major new development" and some refurbishment of existing facilities. Construction work is expected to commence shortly. The project will be funded principally under the National Development Plan.
