Executive Summary

The US Commerce Department is proposing to lead its first ever medical device trade mission to eastern Europe. A trip to Warsaw, Budapest and Prague is being promoted in anticipation of the possibility that Poland, Hungary and the Czech Republic will join the European Union in a few years' time, explained Jeffrey Gren, director of the office of medical equipment for the US Commerce Department's International Trade Administration.
