Micro Therapeutics, a US company developing a liquid embolic system called Onyx, is to get a $56 million financing from a Warburg Pincus Equity Partners managed company, Micro Investment. The money will be used for clinical, marketing and new product development. The two-stage investment values the company's shares at $3.75 for the first tranche of $7.5 million and $6 for the second.
