Physiometrix has CE-marked its anaesthesia monitoring system for sale in Europe. The Patient State Analyzer (PSA 4000) system, which enables doctors to assess and manage a patient's level of consciousness during surgery, was cleared for sale in the US in summer 2000. The product has the potential to enhance patient care, improve recovery times and save lives, says the North Billerica, Massachusetts, company.
