Reports that Medtec, a medical technology consultancy based in the Spanish region of Galicia, might become a health technology assessment (HTA) agency with a nationwide remit are unfounded, an industry source has confirmed to Clinica. Medtec carries out public sector assessments, but its remit is limited to specific areas, such as providing technical support in public tenders.
