In order to cover a 20% shortfall in inpatient numbers, Germany's hospitals are bidding to entice more foreign patients for treatment. Following the arrival of 200 patients from Norway, hospitals are queuing up to offer their services to private customers, mainly from Scandinavia, where there is a shortage of hospital beds.
