Refractive laser company Sunrise Technologies is to expand its US distribution, currently operated by its own salesforce, through an exclusive deal with private medical distribution company US Medical. The deal will quadruple the number of sales people, the Fremont, California company says. It will also open the opportunity to bundle products because of US Medical's broad medical inventory, Sunrise says. In addition, Sunrise will invest around $2.4 million in Denver, Colorado-based US Medical, giving it a 4% ownership.
