The German Hospitals Association (DKG) and the sickness funds have finally agreed on a format for the supplements and deductions that will be applied to hospitals at a federal level upon the introduction of the diagnosis related groups (DRG) system. The original agreement introducing the flat-rate payment was to have been concluded in June 2000, but complications led to its postponement.
