Boston Scientific has obtained distribution rights for new products incorporating biomaterials in return for an equity investment in Innovia of Miami, Florida, an early-stage development company set up earlier this year. Innovia was founded by Leonard Pinchuk, a former vice-president of Boston Scientific and an expert in biomaterials and cardiovascular devices. He is focused on enhancing medical devices that use biomaterials.
