Austrian ON adopts EU catheter test:

Executive Summary
The Austrian Standards Institute (ON) has adopted a European standard for testing the flexibility of single-lumen catheters and ready-to-use medical tubing. The ONORM EN 13868 involves a single 180degrees bend of the tubing, and tests at what point a tube could occlude, thereby posing a potential threat to patients. Water is used in the evaluation process as a neutral medium to test for leakage. Although the standard is designed for single-lumen catheters, ON concedes that it may be used for multi-lumen catheters.
