Dynamed of Brazil has signed a deal to distribute the HeliFANplus breath tester, made by Fischer ANalysen Instrumente (FAN), of Leipzig, Germany. The HeliFANplus is a (13)C-infrared analyser used to test for the bacterium Helicobacter pylori. The point-of-care device features compactness and PC-compatibility. Sao Paulo-based Dynamed is planning to manufacture the unit within a year. The agreement was the result of contacts first made at the Hospitalar 2002 trade fair, held in Sao Paulo in June.
