Theragenics (Buford, Georgia), the manufacturer of TheraSeed, a device used in the treatment of localised prostate cancer, has appointed James Maclennan as CFO and treasurer. Mr Maclennan most recently served as executive vice-president and CFO of technical products and digital solutions company Lanier Worldwide. It has also promoted Bruce Smith to the position of vice-president of strategy, development and acquisitions. Mr Smith, who has served Theragenics for 15 years, most recently served as CFO - a position he held for 13 years.
