HemoSense (Milpitas, California), a manufacturer of hand-held blood coagulation monitoring devices, has appointed Jim Merselis as CEO. Mr Merselis, who has over 25 years of marketing, sales, R&D and general management experience in the laboratory diagnostics, biochemical, diabetes and POC markets, most recently served as CEO at Micronics. He replaces interim CEO Dr Gregory Ayers, who will continue to serve on the board and as a medical advisor to the company.
