Ortho-Clinical Diagnostics has recalled in France lot HVK163 of its Ortho HIV-1/HIV-2 Ab Capture ELISA Test System, reference numbers 932360 and 932380. The measure, announced last week by the French healthcare products safety agency, AFSSAPS, follows the discovery of floccules in the negative and positive test vials. This anomaly does not, however, affect the performance of the test used for screening HIV-1 and HIV-2 antibodies, says the agency.
