Executive Summary
Israeli laser company Lumenis is moving its Santa Clara, California manufacturing operations and service depot to sites in Utah and Israel. This will lead to the loss of 150 jobs from Santa Clara, but the Yokneam-based company will hire 75 employees for the Salt Lake City and Israel operations. The company believes the measures will result in a one-off cost of $7m, with annual savings of $10m.
