As the episode involving the dismissal of dissenting directors Joseph Largey and Paul Samek recedes further into the distance, US laser developer Spectranetics has added in-house experience to its board. The Colorado Springs company has promoted two executives to help provide "leadership and knowledge" - and undoubtedly a more cohesive approach as the company takes its next steps: Messrs Largey and Samek were sacked in May over differences regarding strategic direction (see Clinica No 1008, p 13).
