Medical device and diagnostics suppliers to buyers in southern Europe should be able to look forward to speedier repayment of invoices as of this summer. On August 8, all European Union member states should, in theory, have transposed the late payments Directive. The directive grants suppliers a right of interest if payment is later than 30 days after the invoice date.
