Mexico backs reforms with investment promises

The Mexican government last week signed an agreement to co-ordinate a social security programme in the region of Tabasco. Despite the local nature of the event, the implementation of the Seguro Popular de Salud is part of the radical reform of the country's social security system, which will extend healthcare coverage to around 40 million people currently excluded.
