Executive Summary
The National Institute for Clinical Excellence (NICE) has launched a call for expressions of interest in hosting a new national collaborating centre (NCC) for cancer. The new centre will add to the institute's network of six existing NCCs, which provide NICE with clinical guidelines on acute care, primary care, chronic conditions, nursing and supportive care, mental health, and on women's and children's health. Institutions have until July 26 2002 to apply. Successful applicants will be asked to submit full business proposals by September 16. NICE expects the new centre to be fully functional by April 2003.
