Executive Summary
Mountain View, California-based Micrus has appointed Getz' Japanese subsidiary to market and distribute its proprietary embolic ACT MicroCoil system in Asia-Pacific and Japan. Getz Japan, of Tokyo, will also make an equity investment in Micrus. Earlier this month researchers stopped enrolling patients into a study using its endovascular aneurysm treatment after it was found that patients had a better outcome with the system (see Clinica No 1011, p 18).
