Executive Summary
Vision-Sciences plans to submit a pre-market application for US FDA approval of its next-generation bronchoscopy that uses the firm's Endosheath system. The single-use, sterile protective sheath, which contains the biospy/suction channel, is intended to solve the cleaning and disinfection challenges associated with reprocessing flexible endoscopes, said the Natick, Massachusetts firm. The system is expected to cost much less than the previous generation product.
