Executive Summary
Diagnostic Products is launching a fully automated version of Matritech's NMP22 urine test for bladder cancer, which is claimed to be the world's first such test. The automated version, which is designed to be performed on the firm's IMMULITE fully automated analyser, is less labour-intensive and could provide urologists with patient results in around one day, said the Los Angeles, California firm. The test will be available initially outside the US, excluding Japan, and in the US following FDA PMA approval.
