Executive Summary
Australian syringe technology specialist Eastland Medical Systems has completed its acquisition of Medical Industries Australia, and in so doing has become a "vertically-integrated developer, manufacturer and distributor of safe injectable devices". So said Eastland managing director Don O'Sullivan today, adding that the enlarged Eastland group would now have control over the commercialisation of eight of its lead patented safe injectable devices. To maximise business potential, Eastland has named a MIA board including: Laurence Kalnin (managing); Greg Pynt; David Whitelaw; and Douglas Sims.
