Smith & Nephew is to integrate Instrument Makar's suite of specialty arthroscopic products into its portfolio after S&N finalised an asset purchase agreement with the Okemos, Michigan company. "Instrument Makar's proprietary technologies and intellectual property provide us with the ability to expand our procedure presence in the operating room," said Ron Sparks, president of S&N Endoscopy. "The complementary nature of our product lines will also provide immediate benefits to our customers and strategic business initiatives."
