Inverness Medical Innovations buys Unipath

Unilever has sold its women's health and clinical diagnostics company, Unipath, to Inverness Medical Innovations for £103 million ($148 million). The company had announced earlier this year that it planned to sell the division (see Clinica No 963, p 16). Unilever says it wants to focus on fewer, leading brands.
