Executive Summary
New regulations for medical technical aids contained within the German health reform law will not result in a reduction in quality, says Ulrich Orlowski , deputy director of the health insurance fund department at the ministry of health. He told delegates to the German medical device industry association BVMed's MedInform conference last week in Wiesbaden: "Lower prices only make sense if quality can be maintained. If this is not the case, then the regulations will be reconsidered."
